White Hat Link Building Service With Rules You Can Read

A white hat link building service earns links from real editors through honest outreach and follows Google's link spam policy. BacklinksBot is white hat by design: public contacts only, an opt-out in every email, rel="sponsored" for any paid link, and no PBNs, link farms or spam.

What white hat link building means

White hat link building means getting links the way Google wants them to happen: an editor finds your page useful and links to it. You can help that happen by pointing editors to your page, but you cannot fake it. Google's spam policies describe link spam as links made mainly to manipulate rankings, including buying links that pass ranking credit, excessive link exchanges, large scale guest posting with keyword-rich anchors, and automated programs that create links.

Many services call themselves white hat. The test is simple: can they tell you exactly how each link was earned, and would they be comfortable showing the email that got it? With BacklinksBot, every email and every reply sits on the board next to the link.

Our rules, in plain words

RuleWhat it means in practice
Public contacts onlyEmails go to addresses from contact pages, author bylines and site imprints, never scraped or guessed private addresses
Opt-out in every emailOne click stops all outreach to that person, across every campaign, through a global suppression list
Your identity in every emailYour name and postal address, as CAN-SPAM requires
GDPR legitimate interestOnly business contacts, for a relevant business purpose
Daily sending capsEach mailbox sends a human volume, never bulk blasts
Paid links taggedIf a publisher wants a fee, the bot proposes rel="sponsored" and explains the risk before you decide
No link networksNo PBNs, no link farms, no comment spam, no automated forum links
Money stays with youAny approved fee is paid by you directly to the publisher, capped by your campaign budget, never through us

White hat strategies the bot runs

  • Resource pages. Suggest your page for a list of useful tools or guides.
  • Listicle inclusion. Ask to be considered for a "best X" article where your product fits.
  • Broken link building. Point out a dead link and offer your page as a replacement. See broken link building.
  • Unlinked brand mentions. Ask a writer who already mentioned you to add the link.
  • Lost link recovery. Ask to restore a link that disappeared.
  • Guest posts, link insertions, digital PR, journalist requests and partnerships on Growth and Agency, each handled with the same rules.

How we handle paid placements

Some publishers ask for money, even for a link they would add anyway. Pretending that never happens is not honest. When it does, BacklinksBot moves the prospect to Negotiating and drafts a reply that proposes rel="sponsored", which Google has asked for on paid links since 2019. It also tells you the risk of bought links in plain words.

You decide. If you approve, you pay the publisher directly, and the fee counts against the campaign budget cap. We never take a cut and never charge per link. The board shows the fee next to the link, so cost per link on Growth and Agency includes it.

Proof, not promises

A white hat claim is only as good as the evidence behind it. For every link, BacklinksBot keeps the target page, the strategy, the emails that went out, the replies, and the final record with anchor and rel read from the live page. It then monitors the link, weekly on Starter and daily on Growth and Agency, and drafts a recovery email if it disappears.

On the Agency plan, an audit log records who approved what, and white label reports let you show clients exactly how their links were earned.

Red flags in other link building services

If you are comparing providers, our guide to link building companies covers the main types and what to check.

  • A fixed menu of sites with prices next to each one.
  • Promises of a set number of DR70+ links every month.
  • Refusal to share the outreach emails.
  • Paid links sold as "permanent dofollow" with no mention of rel="sponsored".
  • Links that show up within a day or two, on sites with no clear topic.

What Google says about links

Google’s spam policies describe link spam as links intended to manipulate rankings in search results. The examples it gives include buying or selling links for ranking purposes, excessive link exchanges, large scale article marketing or guest posting with keyword-rich anchor text links, and automated programs or services that create links to your site.

Google also explains how to qualify links. Since 2019 it supports rel="sponsored" for paid or advertising links and rel="ugc" for user generated content, alongside rel="nofollow". A paid link marked as sponsored is within the rules.

Every rule BacklinksBot follows comes from these policies. The bot earns links through outreach that an editor chooses to act on, never creates links itself, and flags every paid link for the sponsored tag.

Questions people ask

What is a white hat link building service?

It is a service that earns links through honest outreach to relevant sites, within Google's spam policies. No link networks, no undisclosed paid links and no automated link spam.

Is buying backlinks white hat?

Buying links that pass ranking credit breaks Google's spam policies. A paid placement with rel="sponsored" is allowed, but it does not pass ranking credit the same way.

Are guest posts white hat?

Guest posts written for a site's readers, on a relevant site, are fine. Large scale guest posting with keyword-rich anchor links is named by Google as link spam.

How can I check if a link building service is white hat?

Ask to see the outreach emails, the full list of linking pages with anchor and rel, and how they handle paid placements. A white hat service can show all of it.

Can white hat link building get my site penalized?

Earned links from relevant sites carry very low risk. The risk comes from link schemes, which BacklinksBot does not use.
