Questions about the link building bot
BacklinksBot is an autonomous link builder that finds link gaps, runs outreach from your mailbox and confirms every live backlink. These are the questions buyers ask before they start.
The product
What is BacklinksBot?
BacklinksBot is an autonomous link builder. You enter your site and a goal, and the bot finds link gaps against your competitors, picks the best target pages, finds public contacts, writes personal outreach from your own mailbox, follows up, handles replies and confirms every live link on the page.
Is it a backlink checker?
No. A checker tells you which links you have. BacklinksBot goes and gets new ones. It does check links, but only to confirm that a placement went live and to warn you when one disappears.
Which link building strategies does the bot use?
Resource pages, broken link building, unlinked brand mentions, lost link recovery, guest posts, copying links your competitors earned, insertions into existing articles, digital PR angles, journalist requests and partnerships. Starter covers resource pages, broken links, unlinked mentions, lost links and listicles, Growth and Agency use all of them, and the bot picks the mix per site.
What does goal mode do?
You write a target such as "10 DR50+ SaaS links a month under $2,000". The bot works backwards from your recent reply and win rates, sets the weekly number of prospects and the strategy mix, and shows on the board whether the month is on track.
What does "DR" mean on BacklinksBot?
DR is our domain rating on a 0 to 100 scale, built from public rank data and our own link index. It is close to, but not the same as, the ratings of other SEO tools, so use it to compare targets with each other.
Safety and compliance
Will link building with a bot get my site penalized?
Not the way BacklinksBot works. It earns editorial links through outreach and never uses private blog networks, link farms or comment spam. When a publisher asks for a fee, the bot proposes rel="sponsored", which is what Google asks for paid links, and explains the risk before you approve anything.
Is the outreach CAN-SPAM and GDPR compliant?
Contacts come only from public business sources such as contact pages and author bylines. Every email identifies the sender, carries your postal address and a working one click opt-out. In the EU and UK, outreach to published business contacts relies on legitimate interest with an easy objection, and the suppression list keeps every opt-out permanent.
Can I review emails before they go out?
Yes. Approval mode holds every first email, follow up and reply in the outbox until you approve, edit or reject it. Autopilot sends on its own within the daily caps. You can switch modes per campaign.
Will it hurt my email reputation?
Sending stays inside daily caps that ramp up slowly, spreads over the recipient's working hours, stops after a reply and drops bounced addresses at once. Most customers connect a separate mailbox on their domain just for outreach.
Pricing and billing
How much does BacklinksBot cost?
Starter is $199 a month, Growth $499 and Agency $1,499. Paying yearly halves the price: $99, $249 and $749 a month, billed once a year.
Do I pay per link?
No. You pay a flat subscription. If a publisher asks for a fee and you approve it, you pay the publisher directly, never through us, and only within the budget cap you set for the campaign.
Is there a free plan or a trial?
There is no free plan. The link gap analysis on the homepage is free once, without an account, and shows your gap and the first five targets.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You cancel in the billing page in two clicks and keep access until the end of the paid period. Payments already taken are final, as the refund policy explains. Live links stay live, they are on other people's sites.
What happens when I hit a plan limit?
The bot stops starting new contacts for the rest of the billing month and tells you. Replies, negotiations and link monitoring keep running. You can move to a higher plan at any time and the difference is charged right away.
Getting started
What do I need to start?
Your site, up to a few competitors and a mailbox the bot can send from. Setup takes about ten minutes, and the first prospects appear within the hour.
How long until the first live links?
Replies usually start in the first week. Live links follow as publishers edit pages, often in two to four weeks. Broken link and unlinked mention campaigns tend to land first.
Can an agency run it for several clients?
Yes. The Agency plan covers 15 sites, white label reports with your logo, client viewer seats and an API with webhooks for link events.
See your own link gap
Enter your domain on the homepage and get the sites that link to your competitors but not to you, with the first five targets. Then compare plans and prices or read how the bot works.
