What makes a backlink worth having
Not every backlink helps. A link from a page about your topic, on a site with real readers, that a person chose to add, is worth far more than a link from a site that sells placements to anyone. Google's spam policies also warn against links made only to manipulate rankings.
BacklinksBot scores every target before it sends an email, so you know why a page is on the list.
- Relevance. The page covers your topic or lists products like yours.
- Authority. Each domain gets a DR score from 0 to 100 on the BacklinksBot DR scale, our own estimate from public domain rank data.
- Proof of fit. The page already links to a competitor, lists similar products, or mentions your brand.
- A real editor. There is a public contact, such as a contact page or an author byline.
How each backlink is earned
The bot does not buy links from a list. It runs outreach to pages that fit. Each email explains why your page adds something for that page's readers, sent from your connected mailbox, under your name. Up to two follow-ups go out if there is no answer. Replies are sorted, and the bot drafts answers for you.
When a publisher asks for a fee, the bot does not hide it. It tells you the risk of bought links, proposes rel="sponsored", and waits for your decision. If you approve, you pay the publisher directly, within the campaign budget cap. We never charge per link.

Find my link gapsWhat a backlink record looks like
Once a link is live, it lands in the Links live column with a full record. This is what you can check, export on Growth and Agency, and share in client reports on Agency.
| Field | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Linking page | The exact URL where your link sits |
| Target URL | Which page on your site it points to |
| Anchor text | The words that carry the link, as found on the page |
| Rel value | Follow, nofollow, sponsored or ugc, read from the live HTML |
| DR | The domain score on the BacklinksBot DR scale |
| Strategy | How the link was earned, for example broken link or resource page |
| First seen live | The date the bot first confirmed it on the page |
| Last check | The latest monitoring result |
| Cost | Any publisher fee you approved, or zero |
Monitoring after the link goes live
Links disappear. Pages get redesigned, articles get updated, and sites change hands. Most backlink services never look again after delivery. BacklinksBot keeps checking every live link, weekly on Starter and daily on Growth and Agency.
If a link vanishes or its rel value changes, you get an alert, and the bot drafts a short, polite recovery email to the publisher. Lost link recovery is part of every plan. You can also track changes over time to see which strategies give the most durable links.
What this backlink service does not do
That is what keeps your backlink profile clean. For the full rules, see our white hat link building policy.
- It does not sell links from private blog networks or link farms.
- It does not post comments, forum links or profile links in bulk.
- It does not scrape personal emails or contact people outside public sources.
- It does not promise a fixed number of links, because no honest service can control other people's sites.
How backlinks build value over time
One good backlink rarely changes rankings on its own. Value builds as relevant sites link to you month after month, and as the links you already earned stay in place. That is why a backlink service should be judged over several months, not by a single delivery.
Steady outreach also changes how your link profile looks. A mix of resource pages, listicles, brand mentions and fixed broken links, with natural anchors and a mix of rel values, looks like what it is: a site people choose to reference. A sudden batch of links with exact match anchors looks like the opposite.
BacklinksBot is built for that steady pace. Daily sending caps keep outreach even, the strategy mix spreads links across page types, and monitoring keeps the links you earned from quietly slipping away.
See which backlinks you are missing
The fastest way to judge the service is to look at your own gaps. Enter your domain in the link gap demo, add up to two competitors if you like, and the bot lists pages that link to them but not to you, with the first five targets shown in full. For a deeper look at the analysis itself, read about competitor backlink gap analysis. Plans start at $199 a month, or $99 a month billed yearly, on the pricing page.
Questions people ask
What is a backlink service?
It is a service that gets other websites to link to yours. Good ones earn links through outreach and show you every link with its page, anchor and rel value.
How do I know my backlinks are real?
BacklinksBot reads each link from the live page and records the anchor and rel value. It then rechecks the link weekly on Starter and daily on Growth and Agency.
What happens if a backlink is removed?
You get an alert, and the bot drafts a recovery email to the publisher asking to restore the link. Lost link recovery is included in every plan.
Are nofollow backlinks useful?
They can still bring visitors and brand exposure, and they are part of a natural link profile. The bot records the rel value so you always know which kind you have.
How much does a backlink service cost?
Per-link services often charge a few hundred dollars per link. BacklinksBot is $199, $499 or $1,499 a month, or half that per month billed yearly, with no per-link fees.
