Link building strategies, picked per page

BacklinksBot uses 11 white hat link building strategies. It reads each target page and chooses the one that fits, so a "best tools" list and an article with a dead link never get the same email. Here is when each one works.

Resource pages

Starter, Growth, Agency

When it works

Your site has a guide, tool or template that is useful on its own. Curated link pages on your topic exist in your niche.

What the bot does

Finds pages that collect links on your topic, checks that they are kept up to date, and suggests your page as an addition with one line on why readers need it.

Listicle inclusion

Starter, Growth, Agency

When it works

A "best X" or "top X tools" list names your competitors and not you. Works best for software and products with a clear category.

What the bot does

Reads the list format and pitches a short entry written the same way, with the reason your product belongs next to the others.

Competitor link copying

Growth and Agency

When it works

Articles cite a competitor as a source or example, and your page covers the same point as well or better.

What the bot does

Finds the exact sentence that cites the competitor and offers your page as a newer or more complete source for it.

Unlinked brand mentions

Starter, Growth, Agency

When it works

Someone already wrote your brand name or domain on their page without a link. The easiest yes there is.

What the bot does

Finds the mention, thanks the author and asks for the name to be linked. These targets go first in every campaign.

Guest posts

Growth and Agency

When it works

Sites in your niche accept contributed articles and your team can share real expertise.

What the bot does

Finds sites that publish guest articles, proposes topics that fill gaps on their blog and drafts the pitch. The article itself must be useful, never a vehicle for a link.

Digital PR

Growth and Agency

When it works

You have data, a survey, a tool or a story that reporters and newsletter writers can use.

What the bot does

Matches your asset to writers who cover the topic and pitches the angle that makes it news for their readers.

Journalist requests

Growth and Agency

When it works

Writers publicly ask for expert comments or data on topics you know well.

What the bot does

Watches public requests that match your niche and drafts a short, quotable answer for you to approve. Speed matters here, so drafts come fast.

Example target
DR 68 Looking for SaaS founders on pricing
Replied, drafting answer

Partnerships

Growth and Agency

When it works

You integrate with other products, sponsor events or work with partners who list the tools and companies they work with.

What the bot does

Finds partner, integration and customer pages where you belong and asks for a listing with a link.

Example target
DR 60 Integrations directory, CRM tools

What the bot never does

Strategies we leave out on purpose

Some tactics still get sold as link building. They put your site at risk under Google's link spam policy, so the bot does not do them, on any plan.

FAQ

Choosing a strategy

Which link building strategy works best?

It depends on the page. Unlinked mentions and broken links get the most yeses because they help the editor. Lists and resource pages bring relevant links in volume. Digital PR brings the strongest links but needs a real story. BacklinksBot picks the strategy per target and explains why.

Can I turn strategies off?

Yes. Each campaign has a list of allowed strategies. Turn off guest posts, for example, and the bot never pitches them for that campaign.

Which strategies does Starter include?

Starter includes resource pages, listicle inclusion, broken link building, unlinked brand mentions and lost link recovery. Growth and Agency include all 11.
